To qualify as a company Driver, you should meet the following requirements:
Have 6 months of over the road driving experience
Be at least 22 years of age
Pass physical and drug screen - (These take place during Orientation. Marten Transport, Ltd. covers all associated costs)
Have a safe driving record, with no serious traffic violations, no patterns of irresponsible driving habits and no more than three preventable accidents in the last three years
Fair Pay Rates apply for all solo drivers at Marten Transport! Now all solo drivers will get credit for prior experience and will be paid via a graduated pay scale, based on length of haul.

Benefit program includes paid time off for drivers. Vacation pay is determined by dividing annual earnings by 52 (weeks):
Drivers receive one week paid time off after first year
Two weeks from 2-7 years
Three weeks from 8-14 years
Four weeks from 15-19 years
Five weeks after 20 years
We are very excited to announce that effective July 1, 2012 our current quarterly driver performance bonus has been replaced by a new, more achievable monthly driver performance bonus. These changes were made in order to bring our bonus more in line with achievable miles operating in today’s regional environment with electronic logs. Because it is a monthly bonus instead of quarterly, drivers will get that bonus money in their hands more quickly!
We are committed to providing drivers, with a total package of top pay and rewards for performance. In addition to our top mileage pay, only Marten Transport offers drivers automatic $20.00 per hour detention pay, $20.00 per hour trailer maintenance pay, $100 first day layover pay and $150 holiday bonus pay.
Marten offers OTR, Regional, Flex Fleet, Intermodal, & Dedicated positions in many areas.
Drivers are eligible for thousands of dollars of extra money annually if they take advantage of Marten's bonus programs.

Marten has established lanes with a number of customers that allow drivers to be home more frequently. All dedicated openings are offered to our current fleet drivers first, on a seniority basis and depending on the proximity in which they live to the dedicated runs.
