NEW - FLORIDA OVER-THE-ROAD POSITIONS
We are presently hiring Florida Owner Operators on a limited basis for Over-the-Road positions.
The pay rates for these positions are as follows:
.85 per Practical mile if you do not have a Hazmat Endorsement
.88 per Practical mile with Hazmat endorsement

Barr-Nunn Terminal Locations: Granger, IA / Charlotte,NC/ Manchester, PA

Compensation (with verified OTR experience)

  • Practical Mileage Pay
  • $.91 per mile starting BASE pay
  • Band Pay (see chart below)
  • Fuel Surcharge paid on all miles (loaded and empty)
  • Owner Operators will receive Barr-Nunn's fuel discounts"
  • Owner Operators earn $.005 per mile with raises every 60,000 safe miles driven.

Band Pay For Shorter Hauls:

Owner Operator Short-Haul Pay Schedule

  • 1-100 miles = $1.91 per Practical Mile
  • 101-200 miles = $1.21 per Practical Mile
  • 201-300 miles = $1.06 per Practical Mile
  • 301-400 miles = $1.01 per Practical Mile
  • 401-550 miles = $0.96 per Practical Mile
  • 551-1000 miles = $0.93 per Practical Mile

Additional Compensation:

  • Owner Operators earn 70% of the billable amount for each additional drop or pick-up with a $35 minimum
  • Additional pay for hand load/unloading
  • Detention Pay after 2 hours @$15 per hour
  • Paid Weekly -- either direct deposit or Comcheck with Cash Advances available
  • Extra pay to go into New York City (No Forced Dispatch into NYC)
  • Two day orientation - travel, motel, meals, physical, and drug screen all paid. Plus we will pay you $.25 per mile to get to bobtail to orientation if more than 100 miles from a Barr-Nunn terminal

Benefits:

  • New Vision Savings Plan --$23.50 per year!
  • Toll cards and optional Pre-Pass Plus (minimal out-of-pocket)
  • Satellite communications(Qualcomm)
  • Paid weekly
  • $775 for the first two bonuses and $1125 at the 180,000 paid mile mark moving forward.

Additional Information:

  • Barr-Nunn does charge a Qualcomm Deposit of $520 (taken out in 8 weekly deductions of $65). There is an additional Qualcomm Rental Fee of $15 per week for the lifetime of the contract.
  • Barr-Nunn does charge a Prepass Deposit of $120 (taken out in 4 weekly deductions of $30). Barr-Nunn charges a $5 per week Prepass Fee for the lifetime of the lease contract. .
