The Missouri Motor Carriers Association was incorporated in 1937. Today it represents the interests of over 725 member companies that operate trucks, including both for-hire and private carriers, and allied members that provide products and services to the motor carriers industry.
MMCA Mission:
MMCA's mission is to serve the united interest of the motor
carrier industry; to enhance the industry's image, efficiency,
productivity and
competitiveness; to promote highway safety; provide educational
programs; and to promote and protect the interests of the motor
carrier industry through a governmental relations program.
MMCA Membership:
Members are eligible for a variety of cost-saving discount plans that include health insurance (Meyer Group), disability insurance (American Fidelity Assurance Co.), driver screening and drug and alcohol testing (USIS Services), and scale bypass system from PrePass.
MMCA informs its membership on important issues by publishing a monthly newsletter, periodic legislative bulletins, and special bulletins. Educational seminars and an annual convention keep the membership informed on the latest developments in the multitude of state and federal laws and regulations that affect the motor carriers industry.
The Council of Safety Supervisors membership, dedicated safety
professionals from Association member companies, places emphasis on
the industry dedication to highway safety. The Council conducts
annual truck driving championship open only to MMCA members that
affords professional drivers the opportunity to compete based on
their driving skills and knowledge of truck safety. In addition the
Council sponsors a driver of the month, driver of the year, and
fleet safety contests to determine the industry's safest drivers
and companies.
