SMX names Spencer October Driver of the Month
(December 9, 2005) Fort Dodge, IA – Randy Spencer of Tool,
Tx., has been named October Driver of the Month by Smithway Motor
Xpress (SMX) for his excellent service. Spencer, a flatbed owner
operator, has been with SMX since October of 1999.
With 18 years of driving to his credit, Spencer has hauled a wide
variety of freight. “I remember one load of 15-foot-wide tank
heads for propane tanks I hauled,” he said. “I had to
go through Baton Rough, La., with two police escorts. But the best
part was I got to run every red light.”
Off the road, Spencer enjoys listening to rock-and-roll music, eating a good burger, fishing and deer hunting. Mostly, he says he enjoys time with his daughter Kali.
