If you¹ve happened to see a red ribbon flying from a truck antenna, door handle, or mirror lately, it just may be a Transport America driver. The drivers are delivering something important this holiday season a message for motorists to be safe and don¹t drink and drive.
Thanks to Transport America and other companies, over 9,000 Minnesota trucks are flying red ribbons as part of a Mothers Against Drunk Driving campaign. The holiday campaign is appropriately titled "Take it from a ProŠDrive Safe, Drive Sober." A message, the driving pros at Transport America, are definitely committed to.
The campaign kicked off on November 25, 2003 at St. Paul with the Minnesota Trucking Association displaying Minnesota¹s largest truck ribbon. A full-size semi-trailer was wrapped with a giant red ribbon bearing the message: "Don¹t Drink and Drive."
Safety is top priority at Transport America, and the company recognizes drivers who excel in the arena of safety with several Million Mile Awards given each year. "Our drivers feel privileged to share their feelings on this serious matter and to deliver such a strong message to the public," said Steve Sichterman, Director of Recruiting.
