CFI Honors October Drivers of the Month

CFI, an international truckload carrier based in Joplin, Missouri, is pleased to announce the monthly driver award recipients for October 2003:

Company Driver of the Month: Mike Turk has been driving with CFI for two years. He uses the handle ‘Turbo’. Turk resides in Tucson, Arizonia.

Company Team of the Month: Larry Howell & Daia Elkins live in Decateur, Texas. Howell started driving with CFI in 1991, and Elkins later joined the team in 1995.

Contractor Driver of the Month: Wayne Fraser, Jr. started driving with CFI four years ago, using the handle ‘Bud Man’. He resides in Everton, Missouri.

Contractor Team of the Month: Arthur & Amber George live in Topock, Arizonia. They started driving for CFI in 2000, and they use the handles ‘Talent Scout’ and ‘Rabbit’.

As the October 2003 winners, each driver and team is automatically nominated for the 2003 year-end award in their respective category. All full-time over the road drivers who have been certified as a driver at CFI for one year are eligible for the CFI driver awards. Additional qualifications are as follows:

Received no moving violations in the previous twelve months;
Involved in no accidents in the previous twelve months;
Received no out of service violations through State/Federal inspections in the previous twelve months.

CFI, founded in 1951, operates 2400 tractors and over 6300 trailers and transports a variety of goods throughout the contiguous United States and Canada. CFI interlines with Mexican carriers at various border crossings to provide through-trailer service to Mexico.
