Walters to purchase Arnold transportation from Roadway

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – December 30, 2002 – Arnold transportation Services (ATS) President and CEO Michael S. Walters will purchase the company that he has directed for the past 4 and a half years from Roadway Corporation. With the backing of private equity firm, Jefferies Capital Partners, Walters will pay approximately $55 million in the transaction which is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2003. The company will continue to be known as Arnold transportation Services. more
