Barr-Nunn raises Owner Operator Pay again

Granger, IA – October 9, 2007 – Barr-Nunn is a leader in the transportation industry and proves their stature once again by offering the highest pay increase in the industry for Owner Operators. Starting December 14th, 2007, Over-the-Road Owner Operators with a hazmat will receive starting pay of .90 for practical miles. They receive band pay on top of this up to $1.90 per mile. This .02 cent raise will also be in effect for Barr-Nunn’s regional and hometime fleets. According to Rene Beacom, President of Barr-Nunn Transportation, “We have been an industry leader in Owner Operator compensation for a number of years, and this most recent announcement makes sure that trend will continue.”

This pay raise is in conjunction with Appreciation Bonuses of $750 to $1100, a fuel guarantee of $1.29, paid fuel taxes, and paid plates, permits, toll cards & EZpass / Ipass.

“Our current Owner Operators are thrilled with this change, and we think other Owner Operators who look further into what Barr-Nunn has to offer will see that there isn’t more of a complete compensation package available for those highly qualified independent contractor’s that we are looking for,” Beacom stated.
