CTL Announces Winner of the August 2006 Bull Dog Award
Mulberry, FL — CTL Distribution Inc. is pleased to announce that Illinois native Roy Witthoft is the winner of the August 2006 Bull Dog Award. The Bull Dog Award, which is presented to acknowledge an employee’s character, integrity, performance or improvement in performance, is the most prestigious honor recognized at CTL.
Roy, professional tank truck driver of CTL’s E. St. Louis, Mo., terminal, is a safe driver with no accidents since he joined the company in 1998. But what he is most known for at CTL is his character. Throughout his years at CTL, Roy has proved to be the ultimate team player. Prior to joining CTL, Roy served in the United States Air Force and spent five years teaching. With his background, it’s no wonder Roy is so quick to lend a helping hand to any task, even if his involvement goes unnoticed. According to John Kays, E. St. Louis terminal manager, “Roy is always willing to help in any way he can to take care of our customers….there is hardly a week that goes by without a customer requesting Roy be assigned to their load.” In fact, customers that have worked with Roy in the past have actually changed load requirements or rescheduled loads in order for Roy to be assigned to their load — a show of confidence and respect that speaks volumes of Roy’s abilities.
John also holds Roy’s industry and customer knowledge in high regard. “I constantly find myself calling Roy anytime I have a question about a customer unload or the best route to take to get to a customer,” he said. Not only does John rely on Roy’s knowledge and expertise, but other drivers routinely call Roy to help them solve problems.
CTL is honored to have Roy on their team and congratulates him on receiving this month’s Bull Dog Award.
