Paschall Truck Lines Congratulates July Award Winners
Paschall Truck Lines (PTL) proudly announces the winners of the July 2005 Company Driver and Owner Operator of the Month Awards. Justin Porch is the Company Driver of the Month and Rudy Melendez is the Owner Operator of the Month.
Porch, a
professional driver for 16 years, is a jack-of-all-trades of sorts,
having hauled many things including hay and livestock in
California. He most enjoys seeing the entire country, meeting lots
of people and the wide variety of weather he experiences. His most
exciting happening on the road was going over a 10,000 foot pass
with a set of doubles loaded with hay while on his way to the
Sierra Mountains. In addition to this award, he was Driver of the
Month in 2003 and 2004. He is also a million mile award winner.
Away from work, Porch spends time with his family including his wife of six years, Anna, and his two children, Pete and Leah. He thanks his wife and kids for standing behind him while he is on the road and his parents for teaching him about driving and life in general.
Melendez is
a former city bus driver with 19 years of professional driving
experience. He too enjoys driving because he gets to see the world.
“Everywhere there is something, no matter where you
go,” he said. He lists seeing New York City for the first
time as his most invigorating experience.
Melendez spends most of his free time with his wife Nora. They have been married 11 years and have two children, Armando and Alejandro. Melendez credits his wife for being there when he is down and keeping their business going.
