Barr-Nunn Extends Fuel Protection Guarantee

Granger, IA – Oct.13, 2004 – Barr-Nunn Transportation, Inc., a premier provider of transportation and logistics services, recently announced the extension of their industry leading Fuel Protection Guarantee for their Owner Operator fleet. Their current program guarantees 99 cent per gallon fuel through the end of 2004. The new program will guarantee $1.04 per gallon fuel for the first six months in 2005.

"Owner operators are a critical component to Barr-Nunn's success. We know that fuel costs are a major concern for Owner Operators and we have been working on ways to minimize and stabilize this cost for years. We feel that this work has resulted in the leading fuel protection program in the industry and extending our guarantee is a good way to prove it. Our Owner Operators are now able to eliminate the worries of rising fuel costs through the middle of next year," said Bob Sturgeon, President and owner of Barr-Nunn Transportation.

The "$1.04 per gallon Guarantee" is made up of discounts, fuel surcharge and additional fuel cost reimbursements that in combination will insure fuel cost per gallon does not exceed 1.04 cents. The program is available to all Barr-Nunn Owner Operators and participants in their ZERO DOWN Tractor Purchase Program.
