Commercial Carrier Corporation 50 Years and still running strong!

Auburndale, FL - The summer of 2003 marks the 50th anniversary of Commercial Carrier Corporation (CCC), and stands as a landmark in the transportation company’s successful history.

Founded in July of 1953 by Guy Bostick, the company started with one truck, and one driver - Mr. Bostick himself. From those humble beginnings, CCC has grown into an industry mainstay, today operating 1,000 tractors and over 2,000 trailers. Including its Auburndale, Florida headquarters, extensive team of drivers, and satellite location throughout Florida, Georgia and Virginia, the company employs over 1,250 people, and is Florida’s largest intrastate motor carrier.

Today, CCC is predominantly a short-haul, appointment oriented, full-truckload carrier. In 2003, delivery projections call for over 440,000 full truckloads of freight including dry bulk commodities, beverages, construction materials, paper products, containers, and various consumer products. With an average length of haul of 100 miles, CCC’s focus is timely, customer-oriented, safety-first service that has become the hallmark of their legacy throughout the past 50 years. This same commitment will continue to be the foundation for future generations of CCC’s business.

CCC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Comcar Industries, a holding company based in Auburndale, Florida, and headed by R. Mark Bostick. Comcar, with its five subsidiary trucklines and warehousing company, is the 37th largest transportation provider in America.
