David Neese Achieves 10 Years of Safe Driving

Star Transportation proudly recognizes David Neese, 55, for achieving ten years of safe driving. To commemorate the milestone, Vice President of Risk Management Ronnie Holland presented Neese with a 10 karat gold ring.

The simple secret to Neese’s success was leaving early with the load and taking it slow.

“That’s the only way to do it,” he said. “If you leave late, you get in a hurry. It’s why I’ve never been late on a load, and I haven’t had a speeding ticket since 1970.”

Neese said that Star’s attention to safety has helped him succeed during his 12 years with the company out of 13 years of trucking. With annual safety meetings and constant messages concerning safety sent through Qualcomm, Neese said, simply put, “Star is safety oriented.”

The company’s good equipment, great hometime and friendly attitude keep Star in Neese’s future. When he’s not on the road, he enjoys spending time with his family, and he also enjoys collecting antiques, filling his home in Indiana with such items as cabinets, butter churns, and kerosene lamps.
