BTC awards driver new pick- up truck for referrals
Flatbed carrier BTC has recently turned over the keys to a new pick-up truck to Gary King for referring the most drivers this year.
“It’s a beautiful truck. A fully loaded, white 2005 Chevrolet Silverado. I love it,” says King. “It’s a sweet truck and the best part is, all I had to do is tell the truth about the company I work for to win it.”
King, who has been a professional driver for five years, says he takes every opportunity he can to pass the good word about BTC. “There’s nothing fabricated, nothing made-up,” he says. “BTC is simply the best place I’ve ever worked.”
Excellent pay, miles and benefits top King’s list of advantages but he especially enjoys every weekend at home. “BTC is a very family oriented company. It’s obvious that they care about me – it’s not just something they say to get drivers in the door, it’s something they live.”
To qualify for winning the new truck, King referred qualified drivers and for each referral hired, his name was entered into a drawing. “I tell everyone how I feel about the company,” he says. “I know there are lots of companies that look good at orientation and then change. BTC is not one of them. This is the company that really has done for me what they said they would do. Everyone from the mechanics to the dispatchers are there for me.”
