Prime Inc., North
America’s largest refrigerated
carrier, shows their appreciation for truck drivers in a unique
way. Prime Inc.’s owner & president, Robert Low, sends
out a letter and poster each year to over 750 of Prime’s
busiest shippers and receivers - asking them to hang the
appreciation poster at their docks for all drivers to see.
“The nation’s economy literally rests on the shoulders
of America’s truck drivers. These highly skilled men and
women merit appreciation year round’ for what they do, not
just one week,” stated Robert Low.
The National Truck Driver Appreciation Week was recognized for the week of August 22 – 28, 2004. Prime hosted two days of free lunches on Thursday and Friday (Aug. 26 & 27) for drivers at their Springfield, MO headquarters. Prime Inc.’s top management, along with Robert Low, cooked and served food throughout the two days. Robert Low also distributed $10 worth of “Prime Bucks” to all of Prime Inc.’s 3,200+ drivers to use anywhere in their Millennium Building. Prime’s Millennium Building has a 24-hour restaurant, clothing store, spa & salon and many more amenities for their drivers. “Prime’s driving associates continue to exhibit immutable commitment to safe, on-time delivery of our customers’ products day-in and day-out. We can’t thank them enough,” added Robert Low.
