Transport America Treats Drivers to a Week Loaded with Fun
Transport
America once again went all out to show their drivers
how much they really value them during Driver Appreciation Week. A
whole week of good food, good music, activities, and prizes sums up
the annual event, which took place in August this year.
Monday kicked off with a concert from the trucking industry¹s most popular singing sensation, Joey Holiday. Holiday also performed for a crowd later in the week at the company¹s North Liberty Service Center.
Each day drawings were held for prizes. All drivers were
eligible, and some were lucky enough to walk away with items such
as a DVD player, Weber grill, gift certificates, cb¹s and
more.
Many of the drivers were eager to show off their hot wheels in the
Pride and Polish competition where the driver with the best looking
truck won a set of passenger tires. Transport
America also made sure drivers did not go hungry, with
barbecues taking place each day of the week.
"Our drivers¹ dedication and hard work allows the company to
grow and maintain its success," said Steve Sichterman, Director of
Recruiting. "Driver Appreciation Week is an opportunity for us to
give something back to the drivers and let them know we value all
that they do for us."
Drivers also got the rare opportunity to dunk the Vice President of
Operations at Transport
America, Ron Kipp, into a tank. Dunk Tank Day was
sponsored by Communications Development along with Great West at
the company¹s Eagan, North Liberty, Atlanta, and North Jackson
Service Centers.
In all, two thousand people showed up for Driver Appreciation Week which takes place each year. To learn more about how you can drive for a company who appreciates drivers, call 1-800-447-1211
