PTL Names Company Driver and Owner-Operator of the Month for June
Paschall Truck Lines congratulates Terry Soenksen, PTL Company Driver of the
Month for June, and Ted Rymsza, June Owner-Operator of the Month.
Company Driver Terry Soenksen has been with Paschall Truck Lines for nearly
10 of the 29 years he¹s been driving professionally. Soenksen spent three
years in Vietnam while in the Army and held numerous other jobs before settling
on a career in the trucking industry. He says driving has given him the opportunity
to help a lot of people and to do something he enjoys for 29 years.
"The best part of being a truck driver is the solitude when you want it, and the travel," says Soenksen. He also added, "I like PTL, if I didn¹t, I wouldn¹t still be here." This is the second time Soenksen has received the Driver of the Month honor. He first received it in October of 1997. When he¹s not driving, Soenksen likes to spend his free time with his grandkids.
Paschall Truck Lines would also like to congratulate Owner-Operator Ted Rymsza on being named June 2003 Owner-Operator Driver of the Month. Rymsza originally hails from Poland, but has lived in the United States for approximately 10 years. He started his career in Poland where he drove for 14 years.
Rymsza has one daughter who lives in the United States and four other children
who still live in Europe. He doesn¹t get to visit his homeland as often
as he¹d like but says, "Every time I cross into Kentucky, I feel
like I am home."
Rymsza is excited about receiving his award and thanks his fleet managers for
all of their help. "They really are clever people, they always understand
what I am trying to say," he said.
When he¹s not on the road, Rymsza likes to spend his free time with his newlywed wife, Henryka, and his two grandchildren. He says the best part of being a truck driver is the magnificent view he has from his tiny window.
