SEXTON NAMED DRIVER OF THE MONTH AT SMITH TRANSPORT

Roaring Spring, Pa. (July 23, 2007) -- Considered by Smith Transport to be one of �the best of the best,� Kris Sexton of Sanford, N.C. has been named the carrier�s Driver of the Month for May.

�I am very happy to be named Driver of the Month,� says Sexton. �Everyone at Smith has been so good to me � people I didn�t know knew me are congratulating me, giving me a pat on the back. It�s very nice.�

Sexton, who has been with Smith Transport since March 2006, says he came from a truck driving family and has been driving professionally for 23 years. �Over the years, I�ve hauled van and flatbed freight for small companies but I decided to join Smith when I saw their great equipment,� says Sexton. �Since then I�ve really enjoyed my experience here. I generally run from Florida to Maine and I get plenty of time at home.�

When he�s off the road, Sexton says he has lots to keep him busy. �I married a double-yolk chicken,� he says with a laugh. �My wife Terri and I have two sets of twins (two boys and two girls) a younger son and a grandson.�

Since being named Driver of the Month, Sexton is now eligible for the Driver of the Year award. He received a plaque and a credit at the Smith Transport store.
