Ira Odom and Howard Wallace Complete Leases at Boyd

Ira Odom and Howard Wallace know that hard work and dedication really do pay off. Both men just completed their truck leases with Boyd Bros. Transportation and are now proud owner operators at the company.

Ira Odom joined Boyd just four short years ago. “I was looking for a change. I wanted to work for a big company with a good reputation. After talking to different drivers about Boyd, I knew it was the perfect fit for me,” Odom said. He credits the great support he receives, along with excellent miles and loads, for keeping a big smile on his face. “The people at Boyd are good people.” He said the staff was very honest from day one, they were up-front about what he could expect from the company, as well as the lease program and he never experienced any surprises. Odom has no intentions of going anywhere, “This is where I got my start and this is where I am going to stay.” After achieving such a big milestone as completing his lease, Odom now sets his sights on the next goal — achieving one million safe miles.

Howard Wallace got his start at Boyd through a referral from his brother. “Recommending this company is the best gift my brother could ever give me,” said Wallace. After driving for Boyd for four years, Wallace said he couldn’t be happier. “Boyd provides me with opportunities that allow me to make a good living, relax at home on the weekends, and still take my family on vacation, and that means a lot.” Wallace echoed the sentiments of Odom when he said the staff at Boyd is very supportive. “When I completed my lease, everyone was congratulating me. It felt really good to hear those kind words.” Wallace plans on sticking with Boyd for his career and looks forward to being able to safely haul loads to new parts of the country he hasn’t seen yet.
