Dallas, Texas -- One year after winning the use for one year of a brand new Freightliner truck, FFE Transportation Services, Inc. driver Clyde Williams celebrated National Truck Driver Appreciation Week by taking permanent ownership of his rig.
On August 29, 2005, Williams was announced as the
winner of the FFE Great Truck Giveaway, part of the 2005 National
Driver Appreciation Week celebration. After driving the truck
accident free for one year, the title was officially handed to
Williams last month.
Williams was all smiles accepting the title to the truck which he was able to spec to his own wishes when he was first awarded it. He said the truck includes everything he could want, complete with leather seats, a wood-grain steering wheel and chrome wheels.
Ownership of the truck is not the only exciting development his Williams’ life. After recently celebrating a one-year wedding anniversary with his wife Elizabeth, he credits her with helping him change is life. Now he is the owner of a new truck with money in the bank. He says plans to continue working for Brian Etchinson and FFE for another 20 years and then retire.
“Williams is a very deserving person who has been with FFE 13 years and has a great attitude. We are proud to congratulate him,” said Brian Etchinson, Director of FFE’s Owner Operator Division.
“Our company has a great tradition of creating opportunities for professional drivers,” said FFE Transportation Chief Operating Officer Russell Stubbs. “Clyde is a true professional and we are very proud to have been able to present this great opportunity for him. We are pleased that he has been able to remain accident-free and take permanent possession of the truck.”
