Thermo Fan Revolutionizes The Trucking Industry.

Arlington, Ohio—Thermo Fan LLC, in cooperation with other leading component manufacturers, has developed the ultimate alternative to truck engine idling.

Using state-of-the-art technology, Thermo Fan provides the trucking industry with a one-of-a-kind sleeper comfort system. The Rest Assure Sleeper System (RASS) maintains a comfortable sleeper temperature without the use of compressors or Freon as used in “traditional” air conditioning systems. The RASS provides maximum comfort with little or no maintenance and uses none of the truck’s heating and/or cooling hardware. All that an operator needs to do is set the thermostat and enjoy a good nights rest.

Thermo Fan makes engine idling a thing of the past. The RASS utilizes Solid State Heat Pumps (SSHPs), which are used by NASA, on the space shuttle and the military, in laser guided and night vision systems. Cisco Systems, Intel, Boeing and many other “high tech” companies use SSHPs. This technology allows the RASS to operate without condensation and with a fan as the only moving part.

Thermo Fan, in conjunction with Freedom Motors, has developed a revolutionary auxiliary power unit that utilizes Rotary Engine Technology called the ROTOGEN. This reduces the size of the auxiliary power unit to about one-third the size of units used in the trucking industry today. The ROTOGEN is very quiet and produces minimal vibrations, while at the same time providing more power and better fuel economy. This further ensures the driver’s enjoyment of quality rest time. While power, lower vibration and fuel economy are significant attributes of the ROTOGEN, the ultimate advantage of this system is it’s ability to generate very low levels of emissions, a mandate of Federal and State regulators.

The RASS is powered from the trucks batteries to which the ROTOGEN is connected. The ROTOGEN incorporates an auto start voltage detection unit which starts the ROTOGEN when the batteries drop to a preset voltage. This charges the batteries until they are fully charged. After reaching a full charge, sensors tell the ROTOGEN to shut down. Thus there is very limited fuel consumption, which further lowers fuel costs and maintenance expenses thereby increasing profitability.

Thermo Fan’s SSHPs have a mean time between failure (MTBF) of 200,000 hours or approximately 20 years. The fans have a MTBF that averages 10 years. Thermo Fan guarantees it’s cooling and heating system for as long as you own the truck. Used in conjunction with a ROTOGEN charging system (which has few moving parts thus lower maintenance costs) the RASS provides unsurpassed reliability.

Through technology, vision, and motivation Thermo Fan has enabled the trucking industry to become a leader in emissions reduction, while increasing their profitability.
