KLLM DRIVERS AWARDED AT MISSISSIPPI TRUCK DRIVING CHAMPIONSHIP

Jackson, MS-KLLM Transport Services announces that four KLLM drivers were top award winners at the Mississippi Trucking Association’s Truck Driving Championships held recently in Tupelo. Awarded were:

Paul Brownlee First Place Four Axle
Troy Bernard Second Place Five Axle
Ricky Bowe Second Place Three Axle
Harold Sowers Second Place Flatbed.
 
As a first place winner Paul Brownlee advances to National Truck Driving Championship.

They exemplify what it means to be a professional driver. We offer our sincere congratulations to these drivers in recognition of their accomplishments.”

The purpose of the driving competition is to improve safety by promoting, encouraging and rewarding safe and responsible driving practices. Drivers complete a written examination to test their knowledge of the industry, driving rules, first aid and other key subjects. Drivers then complete field-testing to measure their ability to identify safety defects in the equipment. Lastly, drivers maneuver tractor-trailers through obstacles to test their ability to operate safely in close quarters.

The Mississippi Truck Driving Championship was held at the Lee County Agricultural Complex in Tupelo. This year’s national event will be held in August at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, TX 77010.
