GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – Landair Transport, Inc. was recently honored at the annual meeting of FedEx Core Carriers. Receiving one of the top honors FedEx presents to its carriers, Landair’s FedEx fleet was presented a Gold Award in recognition of their “Outstanding Performance in Maintaining a Service Level of 99.56 percent.”
Each year, FedEx gives out bronze, silver, gold and platinum awards, based on carriers’ service level. This is the second year in a row that this Landair fleet has received a Gold Award for their exceptional service and performance for FedEx. This year’s award was based on performance for all departing and arriving FedEx loads from June 1, 2006, to May 31, 2007.
John Tweed, President of Landair, personally commended every individual involved with the expedited division, led by Lee McKinney, Dedicated Operations Manger. “I am happy to see them get some well-deserved recognition for their hard work and dedication to service excellence,” Tweed stated. “Exceeding expectation on a daily basis, 365 days a year, can be a challenging standard to maintain, but Lee and his group consistently rise to meet that challenge and deserve to be rewarded. Great job, guys, on a job very well done!"
