Transport America Recognizes Company and Contract Drivers of the Month for May 2006
Eagan, Minnesota — Minnesota-based truckload carrier Transport America announces its May 2006 Drivers of the Month. These drivers are honored for their outstanding service to Transport America and its customers during the month of May.
Company drivers are Tobin Soyck, with Transport America five months; Karl Hibbs, with Transport America eight years; and Daren Conaway, with Transport America four years.
Professional contractors are Duane Booth, with Transport America since 2003; Steven Racinowski, member of the Professional Contractor Co-op Board, with Transport America since 2004; and Margeret DeBra, a participant in the Driver Mentor program and a previous Driver of the Month, with Transport America since 2002.
Transport America chooses Drivers of the Month based on several areas of performance, including on time performance, accident history and working percentage. Input from the drivers’ fleet managers and support center managers is also used in the final decision making process.
“Given the selection criteria, being selected as Driver of the Month is quite an accomplishment,” says Barry Mundt, Director of Fleet Operations. “The three company drivers and three professional contractors recognized as Driver of the Month represent the top six of 1,400 drivers and contractors at Transport America for the month of May,” he said.
Transport America congratulates these drivers on achieving this award. Each driver will be presented their award in a formal presentation at Transport America’s headquarters in Eagan, MN.
