Mr. Robert Conger of Prime Inc. Named Missouri’s Driver of the Month for June 2006
Jefferson City, Missouri — The Missouri Motor Carrier’s Association recently named Mr. Robert Conger Missouri’s Driver of the Month for June 2006. Mr. Conger, of Enosburg, Vermont, was selected for this award by representatives of the U.S. Department of Transportation, the State Highway Patrol, the Missouri Department of Transportation and the Division of Highway Safety from nominations submitted by a number of other companies. more
Driver Appreciation Observed Year-Round at KLLM Transport Services
Richland, Miss. — August 4, 2006 — KLLM Transport Services, based in Richland, Miss., is hosting a number of activities during Driver Appreciation Week. From August 21 through 25, drivers will enjoy hot meals cooked by the CEO, COO, company directors and vice presidents as they visit the terminals. CTL Appeals To Students With Tuition Reimbursement Up To $5,000

CalArk Leads Trucking Companies in Driver Convenience
CalArk International Inc. is installing IdleAire equipment in its Laredo, Texas terminal, making CalArk the first truckload carrier to offer IdleAire at a terminal site. The Laredo terminal is the first of CalArk’s three full-service terminals to be outfitted with IdleAire, and CalArk expects the IdleAire system to be fully operational with twenty-eight spaces by July 14, 2006. CalArk plans to install IdleAire equipment in their Little Rock terminal in October. [ more ]

RUAN partners with Trane to serve Texas Manufacturing Facility
RUAN recently announced a six-year partnership with Trane in which a dedicated fleet of RUAN drivers, trucks and trailers will manage the transportation needs of the Trane manufacturing facility in Tyler, Texas. RUAN will deliver parts and supplies to the facility and transport finished residential air conditioning units from the facility to Trane dealers in the Midwestern region. [ more ]
