West Side Transport Announces 1st Quarter Drivers of the Month.

West Side Transport recently recognized its drivers of the month for January, February, and March 2007 during the company’s first quarter safety meeting in May. Held at the company’s headquarters in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the meeting was attended by many of the fleet’s 400-plus drivers. West Side’s President, CEO and CFO Dave McIrvin took the opportunity to speak about each driver and his achievement.

Dale Chittick of Williamsburg, Iowa received the honor of January Driver of the Month. A driver with West Side since December 1985, Chittick was recognized for his outstanding achievements in miles logged, fuel management, service and professionalism. Chittick received a plaque to commemorate his award.

Thornton Dixon of Blackville, South Carolina was named February Driver of the Month for West Side. He too was honored for his service and professionalism, and stood out among his peers for the miles driven and his safe driving record. Dixon, a driver with the company since March 1981, received a commemorative plaque for his achievement.

The company’s March Driver of the Month was awarded to Troy Williams of Calvert, Texas. A driver with West Side since October 2002, Williams displayed true professionalism and customer service while logging strong miles and maintaining good fuel usage. He also received a commemorative plaque from McIrvin for his achievement.
