Roaring Spring, Pa. – Smith Transport,
Inc. has announced that it will begin offering TripPak
Services for its drivers, effective July 1, 2006.
Smith will provide TripPak Express’ second day service for all of its drivers. Currently, drivers have to drop off their trip documents at a terminal or be forced to incur the costs of shipping them via services such as UPS or FedEx. Kirk Babbitt of TripPak says, “This will greatly benefit the entire fleet. Not only will they get paid in a timelier manner, but TripPak is much more convenient with its more than 1,250 drop box locations and the company can also bill the customer quicker.”
Smith is very excited about offering TripPak. According to
Travis Smith, vice president of operations for Smith, “our
drivers have been asking for this for quite some time and we are
pleased to now have the ability to make the driver’s life
easier.”
