Smith Transport Announces Lifetime Achievement Award Winner

Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania-based Smith Transport, Inc. honored Pat Long with the Lifetime Achievement Award and 20 years of Safe Driving at Smith Transport. Long has been driving professionally since 1968 and driving for Smith Transport since 1985.

Pat has made a considerable contribution to our growth and success over the past 20 years, and for that I am most appreciative. He personifies everything that Smith Transport represents. Pat is a genuine credit to our profession, said Barry Smith, owner of Smith Transport.

Smith showed their appreciation to Pat by putting him behind the wheel of one of their eye-popping show trucks, a fully chromed Peterbilt 379 that has received awards at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville.

Long still drives for Smith during the week, taking the weekends to spend with his wife, Karen, and five grandchildren.
