Paschall Truck Lines Announces Company Driver and Owner-Operator of the Month
Continuing the tradition of rewarding drivers for a job well done, Paschall Truck Lines would like to praise two of its most successful drivers by awarding Ed House of Leitchfield, KY the honor of February 2004 Company Driver of the Month and Buzz Daugherty as February 2004 Owner Operator of the Month.
Congratulations to House, an experienced company driver who has been with PTL for nearly four years and plans on staying with them until he retires. “Paschall Truck Lines is the best company I have ever worked for,” said House.
House commented that the most exciting times he’s ever had where when his wife, Martina, came along with him on the road. He recalled a time when he stopped to assist four elderly women who were broken down on the side of the road. He generously offered them his cell phone to call AAA for help.
House has also achieved 200,000 Safe Driving Miles with PTL. He says the best part of being a truck driver is seeing the county, working with great people at PTL, and making sure his customers are satisfied.
Buzz Daugherty of Clinton, KY was named the February 2004 Owner Operator Driver of the Month. He has been with PTL for almost six years, but is no stranger to the trucking industry. During his 31 years in the business he has driven a variety of trucks including dump trucks, flats and cattle trucks.
“PTL is a great place to work with good people working here,” said Daugherty. He plans on staying with the company as long as they will let him. When at home, he likes to spend time with his wife, Carolyn, and their grandson, Jonathon.
The most exciting experience Buzz has had while driving over the road was when he was driving against 80 mph winds in Victoria, TX, as hurricane Claudette came smashing through the state. Another one of his favorite experiences was a time he took his little girl, Dana, on a run to Florida. After he made his delivery, they stopped at Disney World.
During his six years at PTL, Daugherty has also been named May 2003 Owner Operator of the Month and has achieved 700,000 Safe Driving Miles. The best part about driving, to him, is seeing the beautiful country we live in.
