Decker Names April 2009 Drivers of the Month
Fort Dodge, Iowa - Decker Truck Line, Inc. congratulates the company's April Drivers of the Month. John Kilmer was named Driver of the Month for the flatbed divison. A driver with Decker Truck Line since 1990, Kilmer lives in Fort Dodge, Iowa with his wife Barb. His dispatcher Jerry Chapman said, "John is a hard worker and is always on time." When not driving for Decker, Kilmer enjoys woodworking, camping and his garden railroad.
Jim Brown was named Driver of the Month for the van/reefer division. Brown and his wife Dianne live in Otho, Iowa and are the parents of 3 grown children and grandparents of 7 grandchildren. Brown joined Decker Truck Line in1991. Some of his hobbies include working around the house and yard, and watching sports.
Joey O'Brion, Brown's dispatcher said, "Jim is a great guy. He is a team player and willing to help out anyway possible, even if it requires him to stay home a few extra days to keep other guys moving. He is not only polite to our office and shop personnel, but our customers as well. I have received calls informing us on how polite and respectful he is upon delivery or pick ups. When it is time to work, Jim does not shy away, he just gets the job done regardless of the circumstances. I enjoy working with Jim; he does a great job and I could not ask for more."
Drivers and owner-operators are nominated monthly by their dispatcher. They are selected based on overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll, billing and customer service. All drivers and owner-operators selected as a Driver of the Month are eligible to be chosen as Driver/Owner-operator of the Year.

Under the sole ownership of Don Decker, Decker's corporate office is located in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
