Decker Truck Line Announces Drivers of the Month for May 2006

Fort Dodge, Iowa – Decker Truck Line, Inc. is pleased to announce that James Rowe was selected as the May 2006 Driver of the Month for the Flatbed division. James has been with Decker since October of 2002. He and his wife, Tamara, along with their kids, live in Marseilles, IL. In 2005, James was selected as the Driver of the Year for the Flatbed division.

Selected as Driver of the Month for the Reefer/Van division was Darrel Schaffner. Darrel is a company driver who resides in Fort Dodge, Iowa, with his wife, Karen. He has over thirty years of service with Decker, beginning his career with the company in June of 1975. Darrel is a member of Decker’s Million Mile Team, achieving the two million mile level without a preventable accident.

Drivers and owner-operators are nominated each month by their dispatcher, and are selected based on their overall performance within all areas of the company; including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll & billing, and customer service. All drivers and owner-operators who are selected as a Driver of the Month will be eligible to be chosen as Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year.
