Driver Uses Experience to Help Others Get Their Careers on the Road
Wausau, Wis. – W.H. Transportation driver, Jeff Tarr, doesn’t just focus on his own driving career. He also uses his nearly 30 years of driving experience to help others get their own careers started.
Tarr, who has been with W.H. Transportation for 11 years and currently drives for their Long Haul division, enjoys applying his mentoring skills and experience to the company’s driver-trainer program. Tarr shares that “training is similar to a relay race, and knowledge is the baton passed between teammates. I enjoy seeing a smile on the face of my students while they are making a living.” He also says that he still maintains contact with many of his former students.
To take his skills even further, Tarr also serves as a DOT Examiner for the state of Wisconsin, in which he conducts tests for CDL Driver’s License for Class A and B semis and straight trucks.
Tarr has been able to make the most out of his career thanks to his satisfaction with W.H. Transportation. He is able to spend a lot of time with his family, allowing them to meet their own personal priorities.
