CTL Promotes Terminal Manager Rob McDermott to General Chemical Operations Manager
Mulberry,
FL —
CTL Distribution Inc. recently promoted Rob McDermott,
formerly the manager of the company’s Mobile, AL, terminal, to
General Chemical Operations Manager. Rob has accepted the
opportunity, but will continue serving as Terminal Manager for the
Mobile terminal until a replacement is hired, at which time Rob
will assume his new role. As General Chemical Operations Manager,
Rob will be ultimately responsible for overseeing and managing key
performance indicators for CTL’s 10 general chemical terminals.
“Rob’s career path with CTL has been a progressive one,” says Ken Wieck, Director of Human Resources Driver Recruiting at CTL. He joined CTL in January of 2000 as the Director of Central Dispatch and Logistical Support at the Mulberry, FL, General Office. There, Rob directed the Central Dispatch operation and evaluated processes and procedures relating to logistics management. In September of 2004, Rob accepted his promotion to Terminal Manager of the Mobile terminal. Prior to joining CTL, Rob’s experience in the trucking industry includes tank truck management at Brite-Sol Tank Wash and load coordination at Matlack.
According to Ken, Rob’s greatest strengths are his professionalism, calm business demeanor and ability to make rational decisions. “Rob takes on his new and critical role with CTL as General Chemical Operations Manager with a clear understanding of CTL’s operations,” Ken says. “His management experience, specifically with CTL, and his personal attributes will be key to his success.”
