Prospective & current owner operators: LARGE NEW ACCOUNT OPENS SHORT HAUL OPPORTUNITIES
May 17, 2005 -- With a large new account starting in August 2005, Total Logistic Control (TLC), a SUPERVALU Company, has new opportunities for professional drivers interested in becoming owner operators or current owner operators who want short haul runs.
“More than 100 drivers are needed for the August 1st start up,” says Sherri O’Connor of TLC. “The runs are very family- and driver-friendly so I’m sure they will fill fast.”
The new opportunities involve regional freight with multi-stop deliveries running in five states (MO, IL, WI, IL, IN and MI). The runs originate out of Champaign, IL.
“This is the ideal opportunity for drivers who have been waiting for the perfect time to become an owner operator,” says O’Connor. “We have an excellent lease purchase program”
O’Connor says current owners of tractors can be accepted if their equipment meets the company’s specifications:
The multi-stop dock deliveries on these regional runs take drivers out 1½ days at the most working a 5 - 6 day work week. “We would also welcome fleet owners if they have equipment and drivers in that area,” O’Connor says.
