Maverick Transportation, Inc. Announces Winner of Flat Bottom Boat

Recruiting drivers paid off in a big way for Maverick driver Tommy Payne, as he was recently presented with a brand new flat bottom boat, motor, and trailer. The giveaway was part of Maverick’s annual referral program that recognizes and rewards Maverick drivers for the their referral efforts. Payne won the boat for referring the most drivers hired during the 3 month time period of February, March, and April.

Payne, a resident of South Roxana, IL has driven for Maverick for over 11 years. “This is great,” exclaimed Payne. “I was very surprised. I wasn’t really keeping up with how many drivers I referred, because I never thought I’d actually win.”

As for his success in referring drivers, Payne says, “Most of the time I get approached by other drivers, everywhere from the truck stop to the shipper to talking to guys on the CB. I always tell them that Maverick is a great place, but the work is very hard. Flatbedding isn’t for everyone, but the pay and home time are excellent.”
An avid outdoorsman and fisherman, Payne said the boat would be put to good use.
