Owens Corning Presents Maverick Transportation with 2002 Service Awards

Owens Corning recently announced their 2002 service awards and Maverick Transportation, an Arkansas based flatbed trucking carrier, came away with several of the honors. Three of Maverick's Customer Service Representatives were presented with various Owens Corning Best in Class awards. Janet Flake, Brandon Cooper, and Gary Moss all received awards from the various distribution centers that they service. All three were awarded with Best in Class Dispatch Team awards and were recognized for “excellence as a dispatch service team and for meeting and exceeding the needs of the Transportation Service Specialists in their drive to provide superior service to customers in 2002.”

Flake services the Napa, CA Owens Corning distribution center and said, “It is an honor and a privilege to have such a wonderful working relationship with one of the most respected companies in their field.” Cooper was presented with a total of four service awards from the Atlanta, GA facility and said, “We work very closely with the Owens Corning team and this award is a big honor.” Moss services the Olive Branch, MS facility and received several awards as well. “It is great to be recognized, especially for something like customer service” commented Moss.

Criteria for the service awards include professionalism, driver cooperation, overall safety, and superior communications with the Owens Corning staff. Transportation Service Specialists from each of the Owens Corning distribution centers voted on their 2002 picks and the awards were presented in January 2003. “We are very honored to be the recipient of these awards and are pleased to provide Owens Corning with such superior customer service,” said Gary Washam, Maverick's Regional Sales Manager.
