New Kenworth Brochure Features Medium Duty Hybrids

KIRKLAND, Wash. – Kenworth has produced a new brochure on its T270 Class 6 and T370 Class 7 diesel-electric hybrid trucks and tractors. Kenworth hybrids trucks are available in pickup and delivery, utility, and service applications. Con-way Plans To Cut $100 Million of Overhead

Con-way Inc. has launched a series of measures to cut costs, including a reductions in executive pay, suspension of certain company 401(k) contributions, and cuts in other benefits and pay. The company projects that the cost reduction actions will save between $100 million to $130 million in 2009. more

TCA’s 2008 Company Equipment Driver of the Year Officially Receives New Cummins-Powered Dodge Ram Pickup Truck James Loveland says new pickup is “Finer than frog hair!”

Louisville, Kentucky – James Loveland, the Truckload Carriers Association’s (TCA) 2008 Company Equipment Driver of the Year, took possession of his brand new, Cummins-powered Dodge Ram pickup truck on March 19, 2009, during the Mid-America Trucking Show, held at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

Loveland, a company driver for WSE Transportation, LLC, of Elm Springs, Arkansas, received the pickup truck as part of his prize package for winning the grand prize in the 20th annual “Company Equipment Driver of the Year Contest,” sponsored by Truckload Carriers Association and Trucker’s News. more
