DECKER NAMES MARCH 2009 DRIVERS OF THE MONTH

Fort Dodge, Iowa (April 7, 2009) - Decker Truck Line, Inc. congratulates the company’s March Drivers of the Month. Donn Wasko was named Driver of the Month for the flatbed division.

Wasko, of Plover, Iowa, is married with two grown children. Sue Anderson, Wasko’s dispatcher said, “Donn is very easy going and good to work with. He likes to keep busy, makes deliveries and pickups on time. He is very dedicated to doing a good job for DTL, and has done a very good job of that.”

  Carl Vettle was named Driver of the Month van/reefer division. Vettle, of Hampton, Iowa, is married and has two sons. Vettle’s dispatcher, Gary Northrop, explained, “Carl does a very good job and enjoys working for DTL.” 

Drivers and owner-operators are nominated monthly by their dispatcher. They are selected based on overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll, billing and customer service. All drivers and owner-operators selected as a Driver of the Month are eligible to be chosen as Driver/Owner-operator of the Year.
