PGT Trucking Joins the U.S. Army’s Partnership for Youth Success Program

Monaca, Penn. – PGT Trucking recently joined the U.S. Army’s Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) program in an effort to support the armed forces and to subsequently hire skilled employees with a commitment to success.

PaYS was formed as a strategic partnership allowing the U.S. Army to recruit and train talented young people who wish to acquire a skill set that will prepare them for future employment while serving their country.

The Army will train recruits in their selected areas such as transportation and logistics, automotive, aviation, clerical and administration, among many others. Upon completion of their active duty, the soldiers will then be transitioned into the company they selected during recruitment. This program both establishes a much needed work force for its partners, and also saves them money in training and human resource expenses.

PGT Trucking feels this is not only an important human resource maneuver, but also an excellent way to do its part in giving back to the armed forces who risk so much while serving our country.

“We feel this will be a great way to seek out individuals who want to pursue a driving career, information technology, or maintenance position, and that have the necessary training and work ethic to do so. It goes without saying that the Army provides an excellent understanding of teamwork, communication and leadership, all of which are very necessary in the trucking industry,” says Bob Reda, a Director for PGT. “We’re also glad to be of service to those individuals who will be looking for a quality career at the end of their duty,” he adds.
