Indiana Motor Truck Association Awards Ace Doran Drivers

March 22, 2007 - The Indiana Motor Truck Association (IMTA) recently acknowledged Ace Doran drivers James Cochran and Sherman Hangsleben with Driver of the Month awards at the IMTA Driver of the Year Banquet. The IMTA's Driver of the Year program recognizes the best of the best drivers for reasons such as longevity, safety record, attitude and leadership, among others.

Owner Operator, Sherman Hangsleben, who has been with Ace since March 1995, was awarded Driver of the Month for September 2006. He lives in Indianapolis, Ind., and also has a home in Ohio. He spent four years in the Air Force as a cargo loader on a C130 aircraft, where he learned many procedures that became valuable in his flatbed career. Sherman has been driving for 27 years and has more than 3 million miles, all without a preventable accident.

James Cochran, also an Owner Operator who has been with Ace since February 2002, was awarded Driver of the Month for December. James lives in Remington, Ind. with his wife Alice, and family who also attended the banquet in his support. Born into a trucking family, James has been driving for 45 years and has pulled a variety of freight including flatbeds, vans, tankers, and reefers. He has also pulled several types of machinery trailers including drop decks, detachable goosenecks, and stretch trailers. He has earned many safety awards through the National Safety Council and the American Trucking Association.

The team here at Ace Doran congratulates Sherman and James on a job well done. We wish them both continued success here at Ace. Keep up the good work! For information on a career with Ace Doran, call 800-829-0929.
