Owner Operator Larry Tachovsky Keeps His Trucks Rolling at CRST Malone.

Birmingham, AL – Success is not an option at CRST Malone,
it’s a way of life. That’s why fleet owners like Larry Tachovsky,
(14 trucks), continue to run miles for CRST Malone. “I have been
driving for 25 years and have 5 years with Malone,” states
Tachovsky. ”It’s like I’m working with a partner in business, not a
boss. Besides being able to do my own thing while on the road, I
can take a break from driving and head home whenever I want. It’s
great, no forced dispatch.”
From the start, Tachovsky’s relationship with CRST Malone has been one based on a partnership he has been unable to find anywhere else. “I have been driving my whole life and this is as good as it gets! I own my own business, no one bothers me, and I am able to go where I want-my dispatcher is like a travel agent,” he says, adding ”without the right carrier, it is almost impossible to succeed.” In addition to unmatched contractor support, CRST Malone partners do not have to compete with company trucks for freight. The fleet is 100% Owner Operator.
Tachovsky is not only an outstanding businessman, but also a great friend to an interesting character on the road, sharing his cab with his pet ferret, Buddy. “Buddy is a good listener, and never complains about where we are going,” notes Tachovsky. Some favorite stops along the road for the duo are: Truck Shows, amusement parks, NASCAR Races, and local sprint car races – where Tachovsky used to be a regular racer (and winner).
Whether alone, or with Buddy, Tachovsky has received many
respectable awards while at Malone. Not only is he a 2 million mile
accident free driver, he is also a safety award recipient each year
he has been with the company. “Larry really personifies what a CRST
Malone Owner Operator is” says Sherry Bass, Head of Capacity
Development. “We treat our drivers like professionals, and they act
like professionals. Malone breeds safe, responsible, and hard
working drivers! This is an easy formula for success.”
“Mr. Tachovsky is a hard working driver,” adds Bass., noting, “he is such a smart person and has been so successful with his fleet over the years. It really says a lot about CRST Malone that a guy like this – who would be welcomed at any company – chooses to partner with us.”
And CRST Malone works hard to keep the opportunities they offer the
best in the business. “Our contractors are averaging $1.76 per
loaded mile - $1.46 for all miles,” says Bass. She goes on to point
out that CRST Malone contractors enjoy twice-weekly settlements and
non-forced dispatch.
After 25+ years of driving professionally, and backed by CRST Malone’s stability and excellent freight, Tachovsky still finds a career in the trucking business a great one. “Most fleet owners with 14+ trucks would be at the terminal dispatching and taking lunch breaks,” says Tachovsky. “But I like to set an example to my drivers … it’s all about respect, and that’s what I get when I show my drivers that I go through the same thing they do, day in and day out. I lead by example.”
If you are ready to make a change, CRST Malone is as committed to your success as you are. CRST Malone is 100% Owner Operator, which means steady freight and no competition with company trucks. Since you are paid a percentage of gross there is no waiting for a pay raise; we have them all year long! Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, CRST Malone currently operates over 1500 trucks running throughout the contiguous United States. To learn more about becoming a CRST Malone
