Epes Driver in Top Five for TCA Driver of the Year

March 2005 --Epes Transport System's Rudy Stevens took fifth place out of 2.6 million drivers across the country in the Truckload Carriers of America's national showcase of the best drivers in the industry. Steven's achievement at the TCA awards is a highlight of an already distinguished career as a professional driver.

Stevens signed on with Epes Transport September 8, 1970, and has provided the company with 33 of those 34 years accident free. The veteran driver is a 9 year Top Achiever with Epes and a member of the Million Mile Club with 2 million safe miles logged. In October of 2002, Stevens was named the North Carolina Trucking Association's Driver of the Month making him eligible for Driver of the Year.

Stevens shares his achievement as a TCA honored professional with Judy, his wife of 45 years, his three children and his six grandchildren.
