Millis Transfer Holds Annual Safety Banquet
Millis Transfer honored safe drivers with awards and
$1,494,805.80 in safety bonuses at their Safety Banquet held on
March 18. The banquet, located at the Quilted Bear in Germantown,
Wisconsin, honored 368 drivers who achieved one year or more of
safe driving at Millis. A variety of awards were given at the
banquet, including induction into the Million Mile Club, Driver of
the Year Awards and Safety Bonuses. Over 280 company
representatives, drivers, family and friends attended the
event.
Drivers inducted into the prestigious Million Mile Club are as
follows: Frank Arpino, Waterloo, NY; Harold Brown, West Bend, WI;
David Czapla, Ransomville, NY; Ged Dresbach, Laurelville, OH; Ricky
Edwards, Terre Haute, IN; Kenneth Godard, Richmond, IN; Willie
Haines, Albany, GA; Darrell Hamilton, Grethel, KY; Arthur Hanson,
Sparta, WI; William Kern, Akron, OH; Lawrence Losiewicz, Belmont,
NC; Scott Prim, Kewaskum, WI and Samuel Rush, Albany, GA.
The 2005 Driver of the Year Award winner was also honored. Jerry
Pieper of Beaver Dam, WI took home the award and an additional
$1,500 bonus.
Drivers with no preventable accidents in each quarter of 2005 were awarded half of their safety bonus during the banquet (the other half was paid at the end of the quarter). Millis congratulates each driver for their achievements and thanks them for their hard work.
