BALDWIN DISTRIBUTION SIGNS DEAL WITH THERMOKING
TriPac Auxiliary Heating & Cooling Systems go on-board

Baldwin Distribution has again put truck driver safety and comfort first by signing a deal with ThermoKing to install its TriPac Auxilary Heating & Cooling Systems in its trucks.

“We have begun installing the TriPacs in our 2007 Volvo VN780 and Freightliner Coronados,” says Dudley Baldwin., president and CEO of Baldwin Distribution. “By summer, we plan to have the TriPac installed in the 2006 models.”

According to Baldwin, driver comfort and fuel savings played a big role in the decision to install the ThermoKing equipment. “It will save fuel and comply with anti-idling laws, especially in California where we deliver,” he says. “It’s quiet and runs all of their auxiliary equipment. For those truck drivers jobs in our lease purchase program, this is another way Baldwin Distribution helps to ensure they are successful.”

For its Lease Purchase program, Baldwin has new trucks available including 2005 and 2006 Volvo VN 780s, 2006 Freightliner Columbias, and 2007 Volvo VN 780s and Freightliner Coronados.

The program requires zero down and has a $1.00 buyout at the end of the term. Features in the program include 85¢ per mile loaded and empty, $40 per extra stop, biweekly settlements, comdata card for fuel and expense advances, 100% fuel surcharge pass through company fuel discount program, maintenance and repairs in company shop at discounted rate , paid unloading , tolls paid, reefer fuel paid, liability and cargo insurance paid.

Baldwin Distribution Services, headquartered in Amarillo, Texas, began its refrigerated operations in 1981 with only 5 tractors and 7 trailers. Today, Baldwin, with 115 tractors and 185 refrigerated trailers, operates in 48 states.
