Arrow Truck Sales, Inc. celebrates55TH Anniversary
KANSAS CITY, MO (March, 2005) Arrow Truck Sales, Inc. is celebrating its 55th consecutive year of serving the truck industry, a record that is nearly unmatched in the industry. Arrow will be kicking off its 55th Anniversary Celebration at the Mid-America Trucking Show. Arrow’s 55th Anniversary events for 2005 will include special sales promotions, open houses, and giveaways.
Arrow Truck Sales, Inc. was launched in April 1950 on a small lot in Kansas City, MO by Jerry Nerman and the late Melvin Spitcaufsky. Today, Arrow is the value leader in pre-owned truck sales in North America, helping truck buyers maximize their investment dollars.
“Our first purchase was eight trucks and cars from the Corp of Engineers. I remember we had to roll some of them down a hill to get them started, because we didn’t own any jumper cables yet,” reminisced Jerry Nerman, co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of Arrow. Mr. Nerman continues to remain active in the daily operations of the company at its headquarters in Kansas City, MO.
Carl Heikel, Arrow’s president and CEO, remarked, “This anniversary is really a testament to the benefits of always treating customers with respect, as valued business partners.
