PRIME Inc. Names 2004 Contractors of the Year -CEO Calls Them “Exceptional”
SPRINGFIELD, MO. (March 8, 2005) – Trucking company Prime Inc. announced their 2004 Contractors of the Year Awards. These annual awards honor those drivers who have achieved success for both themselves and Prime. The company names one driver from each of their three divisions – flatbed trucking , tanker trucking and refrigerated trucking – as well as an overall top team and individual driver.
“Our 2004 Contractors of the Year are exceptional drivers and people. Because of their hard work and dedication to customer service, they are instrumental in Prime’s continued success,” said Robert Low, president and founder of Prime Inc. “We are very proud to have these accomplished individuals partnered with our company.”
The flatbed trucking division Contractor of the Year is Archie McCourt, a veteran driver who has been with Prime Inc for 11 years. He credits his relationship with Prime for much of his success. “I just do my job and I do it right,” said McCourt. “Because of that, Prime has helped me when I needed it the most.”
The tanker division winner is Veranda Wilcox-Hall, who has been driving with Prime for her entire career of 15 years. “Being named Contractor of the Year is a great honor. I enjoy working for Prime; it’s a wonderful company. They’ve done good by me,” said Hall.
The largest of the divisions, refrigerated trucking transports, named Russell Antes the 2004 contractor of the year – while David and Barbara Call were named the driver team of the year and Herman Knight was honored as the individual contractor of 2004. The Calls have 5-½ years of driving experience while Knight has over 28 years. Both the Calls and Knight agreed that safety is the number one priority for them and Prime. “Prime does an exceptional job of training their drivers the right way,” said Knight. “They truly are a unique company in all that they do for their drivers.”
David Call went even further. “A lot of the things Prime does are unprecedented in the trucking industry. Robert Low does a lot for the drivers by himself. He doesn’t have to but he does. That reflects in the company top to bottom.”
