NewsStand Releases iSite™ -Unique Electronic Edition Integration with Publisher Websites
AUSTIN, Texas (March 1, 2005) - NewsStand, Inc., the leading distributor of exact digital replicas of newspapers and magazines throughout the world, unveiled a new web integration platform, called iSite, that transforms a publication website into a portal for electronic editions. The iSite system provides all the functionality needed to enable electronic edition delivery right from the home page while retaining the publication brand.
Now, website visitors never have to leave a publisher’s website to access or read electronic editions, providing a closer interface with web editorial and advertising content. A website visitor can subscribe or purchase a single copy and instantly launch the current edition to begin reading one article or browse though an entire issue. The validation, registration and ecommerce processes can be linked to existing platforms, framed within the primary web navigation or be executed completely at NewsStand.
“iSite and iBrowse® represent significant steps forward in the usability of digital publications and their integration into publishers' web sites,” commented Kit Webster, president and chief executive officer of NewsStand. “We will continue to enhance both services in order to bring added value to both the publisher and the reader.”
NewsStand’s iBrowse reading technology, coupled with iSite integration, simplifies electronic edition access and provides contextual linking to online special features. The publication image and brand is leveraged throughout the reading experience.
