CFI Honors January Drivers of the Month

Joplin, MO --- CFI, an international truckload carrier based in Joplin, Missouri, is pleased to announce the monthly driver award recipients for January 2004:

  • Company Driver of the Month: Eric Klauss has been driving with CFI since 1994. Klauss uses the handle “Napalm” and resides in El Paso, Texas.
  • Company Team of the Month: Miguel Barriga & Oscar Torres live in El Paso, Texas. They both started driving with CFI in 2000. They use the handle “The Ponys”.
  • Contractor Driver of the Month: Gerald Sheppard resides in Nyack, New York. He began his career with CFI in 1994. Sheppard uses the handle “Sheep Dog”.
  • Contractor Team of the Month: Gary & Nora Bulen use the handles “Looney Tune” and “Runaway”. They reside in Grove, Oklahoma. Gary began driving with CFI in 1989, and Nora started in 1996.

As the January 2004 winners, each driver and team is automatically nominated for the 2004 year-end award in their respective category. All full-time over the road drivers who have been certified as a driver at CFI for one year are eligible for the CFI driver awards. Additional qualifications are as follows:

  • Received no moving violations in the previous twelve months;
  • Involved in no accidents in the previous twelve months
  • Received no out of service violations through State/Federal inspections in the previous twelve months.
