DOT Attorney Applauds Handling of Troha Taxes, Reveals Ties to Troha
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation's Chief Counsel has determined the DOT's handling of a tax dispute with indicted Kenosha businessman Dennis Troha involved nothing untoward, and was carried out "impeccably." Chief Counsel Robert Jambois said he has reported his assessment of the handling of the dispute over taxes due on truck miles with Troha-linked firms to Governor Doyle. more

LoneStar Transportation Continues Growth with Addition of New Trucks
LoneStar Transportation, based in Ft. Worth, Texas is continuing to expand it’s operations. Starting again in mid-March, the company will begin taking delivery of additional trucks to expand the company driver fleet. All new units will be 2007… 379 & 389 Peterbilts. In the past two years, the company driver fleet has expanded by approximately 200 units. Combined with over 650 owner operator trucks, this will bring the total fleet count to over 850. more
MCT Contractor Reaches Three Million Miles

Western Express Dispatcher Stays On the Line for Three Hours
A call came into the Western Express dispatch office on February 13; a driver was in distress. Willie Frye, a veteran extended coverage driver manager, answered and learned that a new driver from Georgia was in New York City for the first time. The driver was lost in Brooklyn. Frye stayed on the line for three hours, guiding the driver around the city. more
WSE Transportation, LLC Recognizes Drivers of the Year and Trainer of the Year
Elm Springs, AR – WSE Transportation, LLC, recently recognized its company driver, owner operator, team drivers and trainer of the year for 2006. Company Driver of the Year went to Joe Wiggins of Arizona. Joe has been with WSE since August of 1997, starting as an owner operator. A skilled driver, Joe was one of six drivers who competed in the 2006 Arkansas Truck Driving Championship. He and his wife have three children. more
