MCT Contractor Reaches Three Million Miles

Sioux Falls, S.D. — MCT Transportation, LLC, a truckload carrier based in Sioux Falls, S.D., recently honored independent contractor Daniel Norgaard of South Dakota for reaching three million accident-free miles.

Dan, who has worked with MCT for 21 years, has always made safety a top priority. In addition, Dan has represented MCT and the state of South Dakota on the national level in the South Dakota Truck Driving Championships, where his skillful performance has earned him multiple first place awards over the years. Dan and his wife, Susan, have three children, Jennifer, Katie and Tyler.

Matt Staniszewski, president of MCT, congratulated Dan on this achievement. “Three million miles is a tremendous accomplishment. It’s like traveling to the moon and back six times,” he said. “To get there, it takes a commitment to safe, professional operation — not some of the time, or most of the time, but every single day. MCT has the privilege of recognizing Dan because he made that commitment.”

To date, about 21 percent of the contractors at MCT have one million or more safe driving miles. To recognize Dan’s achievement, MCT will award him a plaque with his name on it, a $3,000 savings bond and an assortment of other MCT-branded prizes.

Six MCT Contractors Reach Two Million Miles

Sioux Falls, S.D. — MCT Transportation, LLC, a truckload carrier based in Sioux Falls, S.D., recently announced that six of its contractors have safely reached the two million mile mark: Conrad Baker of South Dakota, Stephen Baker of South Dakota, Lloyd Bradley of Iowa, Loren Postma of Minnesota, Donnie Spears of Alabama and Robert Teply of South Dakota.

To date, about 21 percent of the contractors at MCT have one million or more safe driving miles. “To have six contractors reach two million miles this year is incredible,” said Matt Staniszewski, president of MCT. “MCT is already home to more than 125 contractors who have driven over a million miles. Because of their dedication to safety and performance, these six individuals are excellent ambassadors for the transportation industry.”

To recognize their achievement, MCT will award each driver a plaque with his or her name on it, a $500 savings bond and an assortment of other MCT-branded prizes.
